THE ROHINGYA SURVEY 2017: NOW AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD IN ENGLISH AND ITALIAN

“The military came to my village and started shooting at the people. They [the military and Rakhine] took away 53 people; one was my husband. The military killed my husband by shooting him and he fell near a river.”

– Azara, 19, Pan Kaing (Rathedaung)

Azara’s story is one of over a thousand recently recorded in the Rohingya Survey 2017.

Since 25th August 2017, over half a million Rohingya refugees from Rakhine State, in northwestern Myanmar, have fled their homes for neighbouring Bangladesh.

In the Rohingya Survey 2017, our findings reveal the scope and detail of the horrific events that unfolded since late August 2017. Through interviews with survivors, we shed light on the perpetrators and victims, the journeys taken and the locations where incidents occurred across Rakhine State in order to help others understand it and ensure that the incidents are not forgotten.

The Rohingya Survey 2017 was published on 15th December 2017, and is now available to download in pdf format in both English and Italian. You can read the full report here. Scroll to the bottom of the survey to download the English and Italian pdf versions of the report.
